Eye-catching bridge gets the nod

A FUTURISTIC footbridge linking Trafford with the Mediacity development will be constructed following the nod from councillors.

The curved 250-foot long bridge will cross over Manchester Ship Canal from Salford Quays, where the £500m complex will be built, to Trafford Wharf Road.

It has been designed by Wilkinson Eyre and Giffords, the same team which designed the award-winning blinking eye bridge in Gateshead.
